Detection of phosphorylated Src proteins is important in cell signaling research. The levels of phosphorylated Src usually are determined against corresponding levels of "total" Src in western blots. This rabbit antibody nicely detects "total" Src proteins in human tumor cell lysates and appears to be specific and sensitive.
Western Blot
Lysates of human tumor cells; 20 microgram per lane
Antibody at a final dilution 1:1000, ON incubation with gentle rocking in a cold room
5% BSA in PBS-0.05% Tween; 45-60 min, RT, gentle rocking
Goat anti rabbit IgG conjugated with HRP, 1:3,000; 1 hr; RT; gentle rocking

West Pico
This rabbit anti Src antibody detects a single protein band with an apparent mol. weight of ~60 kDa, which corresponds to expected mol. mass of Src (~61 kDa). The antibody appears to be highly specific as it does not produces additional, non-specific protein bands.

The antibody 2108 is a good antibody to detect total Src proteins in human tumor cell lysates.
