Microglial cells from the brains of 1-3 day old pups were isolated and cultured for 7 days in the presence of M-CSF to enrich for microglia. Purity was checked by flow cytometric analysis, utilizing the Rat IgG2b kappa Isotype Control, APC in order to control for background signal to noise ratio.
