Product Name:

Mouse anti Rat CD31 Clone

Catalog Number:

The aim is to stain blood vessels in rat skin wounds. It was challenging for us because the tissues we used were fixed by glutaraldehyde. We have tried different antibodies including this one. None of them work.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Immunofluorescence

Sample

Rat skin wounds

Primary Incubation

Overnight at 4C, 1/50-800 dilutions

Blocking Agent

Goat serum 10%

Secondary Incubation

45min RT

Tertiary Incubation

None

Detection

Goat anti muse Alexa Fluor® 594

Results Summary

We could not identified stained blood vessels due to extreme background staining. This is a typical issue for glutaraldehyde fixed tissue. Using sodium borohydride failed to reduce the background. If the tissue were fixed by formalin or paraformaldehyde, it might work. Therefore, we don't have a negative review on this antibody.
