This standard marker is used in agarose DNA gels to characterize the size of specific DNA sequences. Bands at 4 kb and 0.5 kb are 3 times as intense as other bands for clear visualization.

Load 5 uL of the marker and run at 120 V for 40 minutes
Each band has 20 - 30 ng of DNA except for the 4 kb and 0.5 kb bands which have ~60 to 90 ng.
