To do any basic research in biology, like regulation of genes in different disease conditions, we have to do in vitro work by using cell culture . For storing cell lines and some of the cell culture reagents, we have to store in a -80 freezer. Examples include basic molecular biology stuff like competent cells and glycerol stocks that have to be stored in the -80 freezer.

Switch on the machine after plugging to the non-ups switchboard. A stabilizer must be connected to the machine to control power fluctuations. Once you switch on the machine to reach -80, it will take sometime once it reaches -80. It maintains the temperature well. Then we can keep our stuff in side and close the door properly.
You have to remove the ice in regular intervals.
It maintains the temperature accurately.
