We are studying the state of pTFH cells in chronic HIV infection and are characterizing pTFH cells based on activating and inhibitory receptors they express. We chose CD69-BUV395 to incorporate into a 13-color flow cytometry panel because: (1) CD69 is a classic T cell activation marker and (2) BUV395 signal didn't bleed into any other channels.

Results Summary

1uL CD69-BUV395 worked really well in our 13-color panel. It had absolutely no bleedover into any other channels on the Fortessa. It detected expected frequencies of CD69+ T cells after overnight stimulation with SEB (1ug/mL).

Summary

The Good

Zero bleedover into any channel; great signal

The Bad

None.

The Bottom Line

CD69-BUV395 is a fantastic option to add into any already-full panel not utilizing the UV laser. No bleedover and great signal make this a must-have for people routinely using CD69 in multi-color panels.
