Tumor suppressor genes/proteins are important regulators of cell cycle. They hamper the cell cycle if there is any mistake or error during the cell division. The tumor suppressor protein p21 Waf1/Cip1 acts as an inhibitor of cell cycle progression. These proteins are important to prevent tumor development. We used siRNA against our gene of interest and determined its effect on levels of p21.
