The rabbit antibody B0847 against C-terminus of CD44 was used to detect CD44 in cell lysates of human CD44-positive cells. However, the antibody B087 produced too many non-specific bands instead of recognizing the protein band with expected mol. wt. of approximately 80 kDa.

The antibody B0847 produced too many non-specific bands, but failed to detect the major protein band with mol. wt. that would be consistent with the 80-kDa CD44 protein.
CD44 specific bands were detected in the same cell lysates with the mouse mAb against CD44.
