Product Name:

PerCP/Cy5.5 anti-mouse/human CD45R/B220

Catalog Number:

103236

We are studying immune responses/treatment approaches for lymphoma tumors in mice. Since most lymphomas are transformed B cells it is critical for us to exclude these cells from analysis when staining for splenic/tumor infiltrating leukocytes. B cell lymphoma cells all express B220, so this antibody is a good choice for exclusion.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Flow Cytometry

Sample

Mouse spleen

Primary Incubation

1:200, 15min, 4C

Blocking Agent

Blocking Buffer containing sera (rat, rabbit, human, goat)

Secondary Incubation

NA

Tertiary Incubation

NA

Detection

Flow cytometry (BD) LSRFortessa

Results Summary

This antibody shows a good signal to noise ratio in the PerCp-Cy5.5 channel. Although this channel is not the brightest, exclusion of B cells/tumor cells is easy because these cells express high levels of B220.

Summary

The Good

By using a highly expressed marker in a rather dim channel, bright channels remain open for less expressed markers

The Bad

None

The Bottom Line
