I needed an affordable high speed microcentrifuge for a new lab. Units with built-in refrigeration cost a few thousand dollars. This unit is small enough to fit inside a refrigerator and fast enough (16100xg) for most protocols.

I love this little centrifuge. Even if you have the funds for built-in refrigeration, this is still a valid option since it stays cold all the time. That means no cool down, no condensation, no energy waste (refrigerator is on anyway to cool other things).
