This product was used to culture glioma stem cells from U87 cells. The product is a must to add when culturing cancer stem cells.
To derive & culture glioblastoma cancer stem cells from the glioblastoma cell line.
U87 cell line.
For 10ml media- DMEM/F12-9ml 540ul, N2 supplement(100x)-0.1ml, B27 supplement(50x)-0.2ml, bFGF(10ug/ml)-20ul(final 20ng/ml), EGF(10ug/ml)-20ul(20ng/ml), penstrep-0.1ml, 250mg/ml BSA stock-20ul (final 0.5mg/ml). Filter it (0.2micorn size).
Do not freeze thaw.
We were able to culture the Glioma cancer stem cells from U87 cells. The cancer stem cells were confirmed with a CD133 marker (western blot).
