Rat Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) kit
80300
HbA1c was measured in blood samples of diabetic and non-diabetic rats by using this kit.
Measurement of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in blood samples of rat.
Blood sample from diabetic and non-diabetic rats.
Blood was collected from tail vein of diabetic and non-diabetic rats. HbA1c in blood samples was measured by manufacturer’s instructions in the kit. Lysed RBCs were subjected to protease digestion which releases glycated valines from hemoglobin beta chains. These glycated valines then serve as substrates for specific fructosyl valine oxidase (FVO) enzyme. The FVO specifically cleaves N-terminal valines and produces hydrogen peroxide. This, in turn, is measured using a POD catalyzed reaction and a suitable chromagen.
None
The level of hemoglobin (HbA1c) was high in diabetic rats as compared to the non-diabetic rats.
Reproducibility in results was observed.
Only two standards are provided in the kit for preparation of the standard curve.
Easy detection kit for glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in the blood.
