Adipocyte differentiation-related protein (ADRP) is a lipid droplet associated protein. It expresses mostly in early adipose differentiation. It is present at the surface of the membrane and protects via intracellular lipids droplets. Here we checked the time course effect of thrombin on ADRP expression.

Summary

The Good

There is no/less background, the antibody is very efficient, and the signal is very good.

The Bad

A non-specific band comes just above the appropriate band which is a little bit confusing to identify.

The Bottom Line

This antibody is very good for Western blot since it does not give any background and the signal of this antibody is also very good. As I said above, a non-specific band was detected just above the appropriate band which is confusing. In my experience I would like to recommend to run a 12% gel rather than 10% for this particular antibody.
