I am conducting an intervention study looking at the effect of yogurt consumption on chronic inflammation. TNF-alpha is one of the markers for systemic inflammation. Our population is healthy postmenopausal women. Based on literature research, these kits have been used by a lot researchers.
For TNF-alpha measurement in human plasma
Human plasma
Prepare wash buffer and standard stock solution in advance. Add assay diluent first, followed by serial diluted standard solution, plasma samples (no need to dilute). Incubate for 3 hours and wash the plate. Add conjugate. Incubate again. At about 20 mins before the end of incubation, prepare substrate solution. Wash, add substrate solution. Incubate. At about 20 mins before the end of incubation, prepare amplifier solution. Add amplifier solution. Incubate. Add stop solution. Read.
Remember to prepare the substrate solution and amplifier solution in advance (~20 mins).
Works well for both standard curves and samples. Quantification is based on a 4-parameter standard curve.
If your samples are from a healthy population, make sure you get this high-sensitive version.
