Product Name:

FITC anti-rat CD90/mouse CD90.1 (Thy-1.1) Antibody

Catalog Number:

202504

I transfected cells with a construct containing Thy1.1 as a reporter protein. Thy1.1 is a surface protein that is not usually expressed on mouse cells so it is a great marker for detecting transfectants. The benefit of using Thy1.1 is that it does not elicit immune activation if injected in recipient mice, and it can be stained with different colors to avoid clash with other markers. I used this anti-Thy1.1 antibody to test my transfection efficiency. I got a high efficiency with all cells uniformly expressing high levels of Thy1.1
