Mouse bone marrow was isolated and cultured in vitro with GM-CSF for 5 days, and stained with APC anti-mouse CD11c Antibody. I used CD11c antibody conjugated with different probes (fluorescent) during this experiment because I can use it to do mutiple staining. For example, if there is CD80 FITC, then i have to use CD11c APC, or PE or PE-Cy7 (at least not FITC channel like Alexa 488) to look at expression of CD80 on CD11c dendritic cells, or if there is MHC-II-PE, then i have to use CD11c APC, FITC, PER-cy7 (at least not PE channel) to detect MHC-II expression on CD11c dendritic cells.
