I needed a very specific antibody to test the genetic deletion of MEK1 in the mouse heart using Western blot. I selected an antibody from Abcam because of the reputation of their antibodies quality.
Western Blot
Primary mouse cardiac cells
Dilution at 1/2000, incubation at 4 degrees overnight
BSA 5%
HRP Anti-rabbit secondary antibody, 1/4000, 1 hour at room temperature
None
ECL
Gave a very specific band at the right size on the blot. Band is strongly reduced in the conditional knockout (cKO) cells which certifies the specificity. No other band was detected on the entire blot.
Specificity
Certainly one of the best anti-MEK1 antibody to use for Western blot
