Microplate Cell-based Assays Benefit from Atmospheric Control Unit
BMG LABTECH
When studying cell-based assays, the atmospheric conditions need to be optimal for that cell type. Additionally, different disease states may want to be mimicked, such as hypoxia for stroke, ischemia, or wound healing. Therefore, there is a need to properly control the environment when measuring a cell-based microplate assay. The Atmospheric Control Unit (ACU) is a gas control system that independently regulates both oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2). The superior control of this two valve system regulates both gases independently. When used in combination with temperature control (ambient to 65oC) and shaking (orbital, double orbital and linear), users can reproduce most physiological cellular conditions. more »
