Microsense: Microvolume fluorescence spectra

Diluting small quantities of sample to accommodate a cuvette means losing twice: First, your sample is often lost. Second, dilution reduces sensitivity. Microsense needs only 1-5 µL, and samples are easily recovered with a standard laboratory pipettor. With this small volume you gain 3x the signal compared with dilution into a 500 µL cuvette. Microbiologists working with ng to µg quantities of DNA, RNA, and protein can now easily measure their samples’ fluorescence.
