Product Characteristics: PRKRA contains 3 DRBM (double-stranded RNA-binding) domains. It appears to have a pro-apoptotic function that may be suppressed in the presence of growth factor and activates EIF2AK2 in absence of double stranded RNA (dsRNA).
Target Information: This gene encodes a protein kinase activated by double-stranded RNA which mediates the effects of interferon in response to viral infection.
