Mastering Multiplex qPCR

Performing multiplex real-time PCR (also known as quantitative PCR, or qPCR) allows for control(s) to be amplified in the same tube with target sequences; this often leads to more accurate quantification. Multiplex PCR also allows you to obtain more data from a single sample, a valuable asset when amplifying from difficult-to-obtain DNA or RNA. The downside to multiplexing is that it often entails much more optimization than running single-plex reactions. Fortunately, the qPCR master mixes listed below supply the buffer and enzyme in ratios optimal for multiplex reactions; you supply the template and primer. While some optimization may still be required, these multiplex qPCR master mixes will minimize the time you need to optimize your multiplex qPCR while maximizing your results.
