Find Numerous Targets In Small Samples

Aug 25 '06
Current multiplexing technology allows you to detect numerous compounds using less than 50 ul of sample, within just a couple of hours. Although there are a number of different ways this can be accomplished, two of the different technologies are represented among the products below. SearchLight technology utilizes a traditional 96-well sandwich ELISA format, but instead of coating the entire well with one type of antibody, several different antibodies are spotted within each well, each in a defined location. At the conclusion of the assay, the chemiluminescent signal from each spot within the well is used to quantify the amount of target. Alternatively, the Luminex technology utilizes a series of beads; each bead is coated with a unique antibody. The signal from each bead is then used for quantification. Both technologies require specific equipment for detection and both allow you to quantify multiple targets from a small amount of sample. As you can see from the listings below, prepared assays exist for numerous targets. Custom assays can also be designed. If your target of interest isn’t represented among the Multiplex ELISA Kits, below, check the companys’ complete product listings to find the product and then ultimately, the target, that you’re after.
