Cells cultured under these conditions maintain a normal karyotype and a stable proliferation rate, express SSEA-4, Tra-1-61, Tra-1-80, alkaline phosphatase, hTERT and OCT-4 and have the capacity to differentiate into cell types from the three germ layers both in vitro and in vivo.
