Source Nature Protocols; 10.1038/nprot.2006.295

Overview

During the resolution phase of inflammation the elimination of chemokines from the inflammatory milieu is accompanied by nonphlogistic clearance of corpses of apoptotic leukocytes by macrophages. Here, a method that determines the role of these apoptotic leukocytes in the termination of pro-inflammatory chemokines, like CCL3 and CCL5 was established. By Charles N. Serhan, Amiram Ariel, Gabrielle Fredman, Yee-Ping Sun, Alpdogan Kantarci.
