The ChargeSwitch® Direct 96 gDNA Kit is a solid-phase, high-throughput genomic DNA (gDNA) purification system designed for rapid and efficient isolation of gDNA from fresh or frozen samples. This kit utilizes 96-well plates coated with the ChargeSwitch® nucleic acid-binding surface, whose ionic charge can be switched by changing the pH of the surrounding buffer. At low pH, the positive charge of the ChargeSwitch® surface binds the negatively charged nucleic acids. Proteins and other contaminants that do not bind are washed away, leaving pure DNA ready for downstream applications.
