Caspase 13 Inhibitors

The Biocompare Inhibitor Search Tool lets researchers browse thousands of compounds by searching by inhibitor name or by its target enzyme. Simply search by “Keywords” if you know the name of the inhibitor, or search by “Inhibitor Target” to enter the name of your protein of interest. Additionally, you may check the appropriate boxes to narrow down your search.

Caspase-13, also known as ERICE, is a cysteine protease inhibitor of bovine origin that is involved in apoptosis. It is believed to be a bovine ortholog of human caspase-4. Caspase-13 inhibitors are of interest to study the role of caspase-13 in diseases such as cancer and neurodegeneration.

  • CD5 Antibody From BD Biosciences Has a Good Resolution

CD5, a very important antigen in T cell development, is expressed at high levels in mature T cells. It is also seen on B cells, either normally before they mature or abnormally in diseases such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia/lymphoma and mantle cell lymphoma. We use this antibody for all of the above.
  • CD33 Antibody From BD Biosciences Does Not Work as Expected

CD33 is typically positive on monocytes (bright) and neutrophils (intermediate/dim) but completely negative on lymphocytes. We extensively use this antibody as one of the markers for acute myeloid leukemia specimens.
