These CD31 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of CD31 in biological samples. CD31 is an alias of the human PECAM1 gene, which encodes the protein, platelet and endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1. Notably, CD31 is known to play a role in receptor-mediated signaling pathways and cell adhesion, among other functions. The PECAM1 protein is 738 amino acid residues in length and 82.5 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 6 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is noted to be expressed on platelets and leukocytes and is primarily concentrated at the borders between endothelial cells. This protein is known to be glycosylated, palmitoylated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include CD31/EndoCAM.
Some CD31 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 3.12 pg/mL and as high as 200 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
