These OKT ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of OKT in biological samples. OKT is an alias of the human OAT gene, which encodes the protein, ornithine aminotransferase. The protein is known to catalyze the reversible interconversion of L-ornithine and 2-oxoglutarate to L-glutamate semialdehyde and L-glutamate. The OAT protein is 439 amino acid residues in length and 48.5 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. Other names for this target antigen include GACR, HOGA, and OATASE. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
