The LGALS13 protein is described to be 139 amino acid residues in length and 16.1 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is notably expressed in adult and fetal spleen, fetal kidney, adult urinary bladder and placenta. Other names for this target antigen include PLAC8.
