These Icer ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of Icer in biological samples. Icer is an alias of the human CREM gene, which encodes the protein, cAMP responsive element modulator. Notably, Icer is known to play a role in cell differentiation and the metabolism of lipids, among other functions. The CREM protein is 345 amino acid residues in length and 37 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 29 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in testes (round spermatids). This protein is known to be ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include CREM-2. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
