These B3T5 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of B3T5 in biological samples. B3T5 is an alias of the human B3GALT5 gene, which encodes the protein, beta-1,3-galactosyltransferase 5. Notably, B3T5 is known to play a role in the metabolism of lipids and protein glycosylation, among other functions. The B3GALT5 protein is described to be 310 amino acid residues in length and 36.2 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the golgi of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in stomach, jejunum, colon, pancreas, small intestine, testis and gastrointestinal and pancreatic cancer cell lines. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include B3GalT-V and B3GalTx.
