The IBAT ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of IBAT in various samples. IBAT is an alternative name for the human SLC10A2 gene, which encodes the protein, solute carrier family 10 member 2. The target protein is known to play an important role in the sodium-dependent reabsorption of bile acids from the lumen of the small intestine. Structurally, the SLC10A2 protein is described to be 348 amino acid residues in length and 37.7 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be mainly expressed in ileum and kidney, lower expression in cecum. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include ASBT and ASBT. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
