The DAF ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of DAF in various samples. DAF is an alternative name for the human CD55 gene, which encodes the protein, CD55 molecule (Cromer blood group). It has been mentioned that DAF plays a role in innate immune responses and the regulation of intracellular calcium, among other functions. Structurally, the CD55 protein is 381 amino acid residues in length and 41.4 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 7 protein isoforms have been identified. In terms of tissue specificity, it is noted to be expressed on the plasma membranes of all cell types that are in intimate contact with plasma complement proteins. This protein is known to be O-glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include CHAPLE, CR, and CROM.
The detection range for different DAF ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 31.2 pg/mL and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
