ZDHHC2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein zinc finger DHHC-type palmitoyltransferase 2, which is encoded by the ZDHHC2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported palmitoyltransferase that catalyzes the addition of palmitate onto various protein substrates and is involved in a variety of cellular processes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 367 residues, a mass of 42 kDa, and is a member of the DHHC palmitoyltransferase protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER, golgi, and cell membrane and is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally palmitoylated. Other alias names for this target include ZNF372, palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC2, DHHC-2, acyltransferase ZDHHC2, ream, and DHHC2.
