ZAR1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein zygote arrest 1, which is encoded by the ZAR1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a mRNA-binding protein that mediates formation of MARDO (mitochondria-associated ribonucleoprotein domain), a membraneless compartment that stores maternal mRNAs in oocytes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 424 residues, a mass of 45.9 kDa, and is a member of the ZAR1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated. Other alias names for this target include oocyte-specific maternal effect factor, zinc finger, 3CxxC-type 6, and zygote arrest protein 1.
Some ZAR1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
