These XBP-1 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of XBP-1 in biological samples. XBP-1 is an alias of the human XBP1 gene, which encodes the protein, X-box binding protein 1. Notably, XBP-1 is known to play a role in adipose tissue development and angiogenesis, among other functions. The XBP1 protein is 261 amino acid residues in length and 28.7 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the ER of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in plasma cells in rheumatoid synovium. This protein is known to be ubiquitinated, acetylated and cleaved. Other names for this target antigen include TREB-5, TREB5, and XBP2.
The detection range for different XBP-1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 3 ng/L and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
