JAM2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein junctional adhesion molecule 2, which is encoded by the JAM2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in cell adhesion and spermatid development. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 298 residues, a mass of 33.2 kDa, and is a member of the Immunoglobulin protein superfamily. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is reported to be highly expressed in heart, placenta, lung, foreskin and lymph node. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. The JAM2 gene has been associated with the disease, Basal ganglia calcification. Other alias names for this target include JAM-IT/VE-JAM, vascular endothelial junction-associated molecule, and junctional adhesion molecule B.
The detection range for different JAM2 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
