The ECAD ELISA kits listed below utilize specific antibodies for the plate-based assay of ECAD in various samples. ECAD is another term for the CDH1 gene, which encodes the protein, cadherin 1 in humans. It has been reported that ECAD plays a role in cell adhesion, among other functions. Structurally, the CDH1 protein is 882 amino acid residues in length and 97.5 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the golgi and cell membrane of the cell. This protein is known to be O-glycosylated, N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated, cleaved and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include Arc-1, Arc-1, and BCDS1.
Some ECAD ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 62.5 pg/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
