These 14-3-3 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of 14-3-3 in biological samples. 14-3-3 is an alias of the human YWHAQ gene, which encodes the protein, tyrosine 3-monooxygenase/tryptophan 5-monooxygenase activation protein theta. Notably, 14-3-3 is known to play a role in the regulation of transcription and signal transduction pathways, among other functions. The YWHAQ protein is described to be 245 amino acid residues in length and 27.8 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is found to be highly expressed in the brain, heart and pancreas, and at lower levels in kidney and placenta. This protein is known to be phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include 1C5. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
