The S100 ELISA kits listed below utilize specific antibodies for the plate-based assay of S100 in various samples. S100 is another term for the S100A1 gene, which encodes the protein, S100 calcium binding protein A1 in humans. The target protein is known to act as a UDP-D-xylose:ribitol-5-phosphate beta1,4-xylosyltransferase, which catalyzes the transfer of UDP-D-xylose to ribitol 5-phosphate (Rbo5P) to form the Xylbeta1-4Rbo5P linkage on O-mannosyl glycan. Structurally, the S100A1 protein is described to be 94 amino acid residues in length and 10.5 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the mitochondria and cytoplasm of the cell.
Some S100 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
