QSOX2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein quiescin sulfhydryl oxidase 2, which is encoded by the QSOX2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze the oxidation of sulfhydryl groups in peptide and protein thiols to disulfides with the reduction of oxygen to hydrogen peroxide. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 698 residues, a mass of 77.5 kDa, and is a member of the Quiescin-sulfhydryl oxidase (QSOX) protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus, cell membrane, and is secreted and is reported to be expressed in pancreas, brain, placenta, kidney, heart and fetal tissues. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include neuroblastoma-derived sulfhydryl oxidase, quiescin Q6 sulfhydryl oxidase 2, quiescin Q6-like 1, quiescin Q6-like protein 1, thiol oxidase 2, and sulfhydryl oxidase 2.
