GP2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein glycoprotein 2, which is encoded by the GP2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to function as a intestinal M-cell transcytotic receptor specific for type-I-piliated bacteria that participates in the mucosal immune response toward these bacteria. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 537 residues and a mass of 59.5 kDa. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is secreted and is notably expressed in pancreas. As many as 4 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include pancreatic secretory granule membrane major glycoprotein GP2, glycoprotein 2 (zymogen granule membrane), pancreatic zymogen granule membrane associated protein GP2, and ZAP75.
Some GP2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 31.2 pg/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
