Rheumatoid factor ELISA kits are assays designed to detect the autoantibody rheumatoid factor (RF). It is an immunoglobulin that reacts with the Fc region of IgG antibodies. The different rheumatoid factors can recognize various regions of the IgG Fc. They were the first autoantibodies discovered in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and are present in large amounts in the serum of patients with the condition. Elevated levels of RF can also be seen in diseases such as chronic hepatitis, leukaemia and malaria. Visit the supplier page for more information about detection target, range and reactivity.
