COL11A1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein collagen type XI alpha 1 chain, which is encoded by the COL11A1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to play an important role in fibrillogenesis by controlling lateral growth of collagen II fibrils. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1806 residues, a mass of 181.1 kDa, and is a member of the Fibrillar collagen protein family. It is known to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. As many as 4 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated. The COL11A1 gene has been associated with the disease, Stickler syndrome. Other alias names for this target include COLL6, DFNA37, STL2, collagen alpha-1(XI) chain, collagen XI, alpha-1 polypeptide, and CO11A1.
There are COL11A1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 1.563 pg/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
