S1PR5 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 5, which is encoded by the S1PR5 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known receptor for the lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 398 residues, a mass of 41.8 kDa, and is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is found to be widely expressed in the brain, most prominently in the corpus callosum, which is predominantly white matter. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include Edg-8, S1P5, SPPR-1, SPPR-2, S1P receptor 5, and EDG8.
There are S1PR5 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
