A1CF ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein APOBEC1 complementation factor, which is encoded by the A1CF gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is an important component of the apolipoprotein B mRNA editing enzyme complex which is responsible for the postranscriptional editing of a CAA codon for Gln to a UAA codon for stop in APOB mRNA. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 594 residues and a mass of 65.2 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus, ER, and cytoplasm and is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in the brain, liver, pancreas, colon and spleen. As many as 6 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include ACF64, ACF65, APOBEC1CF, ASP, APOBEC-1 stimulating protein, and ACF.
There are A1CF ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 31.2 pg/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
