It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is notably expressed at high levels in testis and in ocular endothelial cells. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally cleaved. The NAA15 gene has been associated with the disease, Intellectual developmental disorder.
