Anti-ICAM-3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ICAM-3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ICAM3 gene, which encodes intercellular adhesion molecule 3. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion, among other biological roles. The human version of ICAM-3 has a canonical amino acid length of 547 residues and a protein mass of 59.5 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and notably expressed in the spleen, skin, lymph node, bone marrow, and appendix. ICAM-3 is a member of the ICAM protein family.
