Anti-CCDC181 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein coiled-coil domain containing 181. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 509 amino acid residues and a mass of 60.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the fallopian tube, epididymis, endometrium, cervix, and bronchus. A member of the CCDC181 protein family, CCDC181 is reported to be a microtubule-binding protein that localizes to the microtubular manchette of elongating spermatids. Synonyms for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain-containing protein 181. CCDC181 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CCDC181 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
