Anti-ABHD17C antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein abhydrolase domain containing 17C, depalmitoylase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 329 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the endosome. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the ABHD17 protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including palmitoylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include abhydrolase domain-containing protein 17C, abhydrolase domain-containing protein FAM108C1, family with sequence similarity 108, member C1, and alpha/beta hydrolase domain-containing protein 17C. ABHD17C gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the ABHD17C antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
